Who am I

Who am I

Hi, I’m z9rr9

I’m currently on a two-year journey, training as an IT Specialist for System Integration. It’s an intensive program packed with a lot of content in a short amount of time. At the end of this training, I’ll also complete a 9-month internship—I’ve secured a spot at an IT service provider specializing in data backup.

I’ve always been fascinated by how technology works. How do data packets travel from point A to point B? How do systems communicate with each other? These questions intrigued me, but for the longest time, I didn’t dive deeper. I asked myself these things but never really pursued the answers—until now. Starting this training has been an eye-opener, as I’m finally getting to learn about the inner workings of IT and realizing just how much there is to explore.

The journey so far has been both exciting and challenging. The curriculum moves at a fast pace, which works well for people who like to stay on their toes, but it can also feel overwhelming at times. Personally, I’m staying motivated and focused because I know where I want to go. Plus, I genuinely enjoy the learning process and the chance to build skills that bring me closer to my goals.

The structure of my training feels like a condensed version of an apprenticeship. Despite the shorter timeframe, both apprentices and trainees like me take the same final exams. This adds a layer of pressure, but it also pushes me to stay disciplined and focused.

Why This Blog?

I started this blog primarily as a learning journal. Writing helps me process and organize the wealth of knowledge I’m gaining, but I also thought it would be cool to share my journey. From starting at absolute zero, this blog will document everything—successes, failures, challenges, and breakthroughs.

It’s not a guide or a tutorial; it’s simply a space for me to show my path as it unfolds. Whether it’s technical insights, personal reflections, or just the little moments of progress, it’s all part of the story. If you’re here and find value in following along, that’s great. If this blog inspires someone to consider a similar path, even better.

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning. As I dive deeper into my training, I’ll share:

  • My favorite learning fields (yes, even the ones that don’t get enough attention in class).
  • Projects I’m working on, like tinkering with Raspberry Pi, exploring cybersecurity, and mastering Python.
  • Lessons learned and how I’m turning theory into practice.

Let’s see how far this journey goes. The destination is clear, but the road ahead is full of possibilities.
